What do you do when you are a young girl and love nothing else but to read? All day, every day? Enters Elizabeth Brown, a strong and feisty bibliomaniac! From an early age she devours every book she can. She grows up and still reads every book she can find. She forgets to eat, loses shopping lists, walks into doors - all whilst reading. Eventually, Elizabeth's house is so full of books, that there is hardly place for Elizabeth!
She then does something so special.
Elizabeth donates her house and all her books and opens a free library for all to enjoy.
I loved this story for so many reasons. A bibliomaniac myself, I can fully understand Elizabeth's love of books! My six year old son also loves this book, especially when she walks into the door whilst reading. I love reading this to him as I want him to know, when you truly love something, its ok to indulge yourself completely into it!
The illustrations are gorgeous - it makes you want to go and find all your books at once and stack them all over your house. This beautiful children's book is a love letter to all bibliomaniacs out there.
