EARTH SANCTUARIES print this page

The last treasures of the world

Enya & James visit special places in Africa to deliver a message of beauty and inspiration to other young people and their parents.

We like to call these places earth sanctuaries because of their biodiversity, beauty and importance to the planet. But also because the indigenous people living in these areas can teach us valuable lessons of respect and gratitude.

The journey starts at the tip of Africa and covers locations in Southern Africa, Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands up to central and West Africa as well as the Horn of Africa.

In the travel stories section of the Kids of Nature website you will not only find interesting reads, but also useful bits of information so that you too can take your kids out 'there'.

Tell us about your children's favourite place on earth and why they love it so much.

"My kids love Chintsa the best.  It is a little piece of heaven just outside of East London on the East Coast Resorts Road.  The beaches are beautiful and the rock pools still have little starfish and other creatures inside.  You can even still find shells on the beach."
