A day in the Namib desert
Our children are madly in love with 'Tippi, My Book of Africa'. This fascinating book about a little girl named Tippi that interacts with the animals in the wild and walks on top of the dunes was a source of great inspiration for our 3 year old James and Enya, his one and a half year older sister. So when I told them we would travel to the Namib desert and play in the dunes like Tippi, they were over the moon.

Namaqualand, wonderland
A floral explosion in one of the most arid regions of the world. As if touched by lightning, Enya and James set-off in all wind directions not knowing which flowers to pick first. Seeing their excitement as they run through the fields, takes me back to my own childhood years in the countryside.
