LOCATION 2
Our visit to the Richtersveld Conservancy reveals that Gao, the cameraman, and Kids of Nature don't share the same views and this is where we say goodbye to each other. This adds another challenge to our journey, because now Paul and I will have to add an extra workload to our already full days. After a 15 minute crash course in using our HD Panasonic camera , I will only have one chance to film each scene and it usually needs to be done fast because we mainly work during the short hours at sunrise and just before sunset. So, between the still photography, the filming, the writing, the encoding, the project logistics, the camp logistics and the homeschooling, I will have to steal my moments to enjoy a cup of tea or a well-deserved sundowner. Paul's 'to do list' isn't any shorter either, but all in all, the whole experience and the possibility to share this with you makes it all so rewarding.
