'Kids of Nature' aims to be as eco-friendly as possible. Visiting earth sanctuaries, hotspots and other very special places requires a high degree of autonomy. A reliable fridge that can work on 12 V DC is not a luxury.

For extreme reliability, we have opted for 2 x 40 l fridge/freezers from Snomaster.  These are the BD/C40 portable units with a thick 60 mm insulation and a low current draw of 4 A on 12 V DC, with a stainless steel finish and a variable speed compressor. 

These fridge/freezers have been designed and developed for the demanding South African conditions.
